Mark Crutcher
Biography and Sample Introduction
Updated: September 2007
For many years, Mark Crutcher has been an outspoken and uncompromised opponent of abortion. In 1986,
he created the Life Activist Seminar and trained more than 15,000 pro-life activists all across
the United States and Canada. Then, in 1992, he founded Life Dynamics which has since become
widely recognized as one of the most innovative and professional pro-life organizations in America.
Under Mark's direction, Life Dynamics has done trailblazing research on the abortion industry and
developed an extensive litigation support system to help women sue the abortionists who kill,
injure, or sexually assault them. Since 1992, Life Dynamics has also carried out an aggressive
direct mail campaign designed to discourage medical professionals from entering the abortion business.
Mark is probably best known for his bold undercover operations that have exposed shocking and even
illegal activities inside the abortion industry. It was a Life Dynamics sting that caught
Planned Parenthood and others in the abortion
industry protecting the men who rape children, and another one that documented how abortion clinics
make extra profit by selling the body parts of the babies they kill. The success of Mark's intelligence
and surveillance efforts led one New York newspaper to label Life Dynamics "the CIA of the pro-life movement."
In 1996, Mark authored the book, Lime 5,
a groundbreaking exposé that has become the recognized standard for people who want to know what really
goes on inside the American abortion industry. Among his numerous other writings is the pro-life handbook,
On Message, as well as
Access, the Key to Pro-Life Victory.
Articles about Mark and Life Dynamics have been published in both Time and Newsweek and he has
written for The Christian American, All About Issues, and Focus on the Family's Citizen
magazine. He has also appeared on many local and national television news outlets including ABC World News
Tonight, NBC Nightly News, the CBS Evening News, Fox News, Nightline, 20/20, the O'Rilley Factor,
and the 700 Club. He is also a regular contributor to World-Net Daily, Family News in Focus and
the USA Radio Network.
In 1999, Mark launched the nation's only pro-life television talk show, LifeTalk. Today, his co-hosts
include Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life; Troy Newman, the national leader
of Operation Rescue; Dr. Johnny Hunter, the president of America's largest black pro-life organization;
and Janet Morana, co-founder of Silent No More.
In 2002, Mark received the first annual Cardinal Von Galen Award from Human Life International and,
in 2004, he was given the Cardinal O'Connor Pro-Life Hall of Fame Award. Today, among Life Dynamics'
newest projects is a revolutionary new approach toward increasing participation by the African-American
community in the pro-life cause.
Mark lives in Denton, Texas with his wife of over 36 years, Tulane, and their adopted daughter, Sheila.
