Latachie Veal       This 17-year-old teen underwent a 20 to 22-week abortion by Dr. Robert Crist on November 2, 1991, at West Loop Clinic in Houston. Afterward, she started bleeding heavily, and asked the staff for help. She was told that her symptoms were normal, and was sent home without any provision to monitor her. Later that evening, she stopped breathing. Her brother-in-law called 911 while her sister did CPR. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
